Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely payments to vendors and employees.
- Perform bank reconciliations and expense tracking.
- Support the tax preparation process and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and improve profitability.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a remote or part-time capacity.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks is a plus).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Self-motivated with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
