In this pivotal role, you will ensure our diverse workforce is compensated accurately and on time, while navigating the complexities of state and federal compliance regulations.
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end payroll processing for a workforce of over 150 employees, ensuring accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines.
- Maintain and audit payroll records, ensuring all data is up-to-date and compliant with internal controls.
- Ensure strict compliance with New York State labor laws, FLSA regulations, and federal tax requirements.
- Prepare and file monthly and annual payroll tax returns accurately using ADP Workforce Now.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and time-off balances.
- Collaborate closely with the HR department to resolve discrepancies and update employee demographic information.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing within the financial sector.
- Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, or similar payroll software platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of New York state and local tax laws, including W-2s and 1099s.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and high accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.
