Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Advise clients on tax compliance strategies and IRS correspondence
- Lead tax planning engagements for high-net-worth individuals
- Manage audit support and tax controversy resolution
- Train junior associates on tax software and procedures
- Develop client relationships through proactive tax advisory services
Qualifications
- CPA license or active pursuit (required)
- 3+ years of public tax accounting experience
- Expertise in US tax code and Hawaii state tax regulations
- Proficiency in Lacerte, ProSystem fx, or comparable tax software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
