Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough credit analysis on loan applications, reviewing financial statements and credit reports to assess borrower risk.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and recommendation reports for the underwriting committee.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for early signs of default and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files in our internal database systems.
- Collaborate with the loan origination team to provide insights on deal structure and risk mitigation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or financial risk assessment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
