Responsibilities
- Conduct In-Depth Analysis: Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to evaluate borrower creditworthiness.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks associated with lending and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Credit Recommendations: Prepare detailed credit memos and make recommendations to credit committees regarding loan approvals, renewals, or denials.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all credit analysis activities adhere to internal policies, federal regulations, and industry standards.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the credit management system and database.
- Client Interaction: Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to loan officers and senior management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or a related role within the banking or financial services sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) is essential.
