Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market data to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessment reports for loan committee review
- Monitor existing portfolios and identify potential red flags through trend analysis
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure credit facilities aligned with client needs
- Ensure compliance with federal and state lending regulations (FCRA, BSA)
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommend appropriate credit terms
- Utilize credit scoring models and underwriting software for decision support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2+ years of credit analysis or underwriting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling and data analysis
- Strong understanding of cash flow analysis, ratio calculations, and industry benchmarks
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) or willingness to obtain
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to synthesize complex information
