Responsibilities
- Analyze loan applications, financial statements, and credit reports to determine risk and eligibility.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective borrowers and existing accounts.
- Assess collateral values and market conditions in the Alaskan region.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and recommendations for loan approval or denial.
- Monitor credit limits and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to resolve complex credit issues.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in credit analysis or a related financial role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and credit analysis software (e.g., Encompass, FIS).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Understanding of banking regulations and fair lending practices.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
