Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market data to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessments for loan committee review
- Monitor existing portfolios for compliance and early risk identification
- Collaborate with relationship managers to structure optimal financing solutions
- Stay updated on industry regulations and economic trends affecting credit decisions
- Maintain accurate documentation in loan origination systems
- Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance credit processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of credit analysis experience, preferably in commercial banking
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Knowledge of credit risk frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification (CFA, CRCM) preferred
- Valid driver's license required for occasional client visits
