Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure full compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Monitor changes in local, state, and federal laws to advise management on necessary procedural updates.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for staff and management.
- Review financial reports and transaction data for irregularities or potential compliance breaches.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all compliance activities and findings.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or auditing.
- Strong knowledge of relevant financial regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC, or state-specific banking laws).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Professional certification such as CCEP, CFA, or CPA is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity while meeting strict deadlines.
