Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll for 200+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Calculate and garnish deductions, bonuses, commissions, and overtime payments
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (CA SDI, EDD, etc.)
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in payroll reports
- Manage employee time-off requests and leave-of-absence processing
- Prepare and file quarterly tax forms (941, 940, state unemployment)
- Conduct annual wage garnishment audits and W-2 reconciliation
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and payroll system training
Qualifications
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience with multi-state operations
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent system proficiency
- Deep knowledge of California labor laws and tax regulations
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and payroll reporting tools
- Proven problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
