Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and vendor relationships are maintained.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees, ensuring all deductions and tax filings are correct.
- Organize and maintain financial records, including digital filing and physical archiving.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and provide requested documentation to external accountants.
- Reconcile credit card statements and identify discrepancies for resolution.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online is strongly preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote or hybrid setting.
