We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team in Virginia Beach. Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile inventory and fixed asset records as needed.
- Support the payroll process by gathering necessary data and verifying timecards.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial documents.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related finance role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
