Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process and record transactions in QuickBooks or Xero with a high degree of precision.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax documents and filings.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state financial regulations and internal policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries and financial statements.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time capacity.
