As a Part-Time Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our accounting operations, ensuring that our clients' financial records are up-to-date and accurate. This role offers the perfect blend of autonomy and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Process payroll and handle sales tax filings accurately.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online or Xero to record transactions and generate reports.
- Communicate with clients regarding financial inquiries and document requests.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Must be located in or willing to commute to the Seattle, WA area.
