Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses for clients
- Manage payroll processing and tax compliance for small businesses
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks cloud accounting systems
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve cash flow
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Collaborate with tax professionals during quarterly/year-end reviews
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proven expertise in payroll processing and tax filings
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Remote work experience and reliable high-speed internet
- CPA or bookkeeper certification a plus
