Responsibilities
- Manage and process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain and update the general ledger using QuickBooks or Xero.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and process vendor bills.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
- Assist with payroll processing for a small team of employees.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection.
