Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable & Payable: Process and manage daily invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments to vendors.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for and balanced.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized, up-to-date, and accurate financial records for multiple clients.
- Expense Reporting: Assist in the preparation and categorization of expense reports and receipts.
- Month-End Close: Support the senior accounting team with basic month-end closing procedures and reporting.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to track financial data and generate reports.
- Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into spreadsheets and accounting systems.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Math Skills: Strong aptitude for mathematics and a basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Attention to Detail: Must possess a meticulous nature to catch errors and ensure compliance with financial standards.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours (40 hours/week) in a professional office setting.
