Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients using QuickBooks Online and/or Xero.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing and bill payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and payroll reports.
  • Manage petty cash and expense reports with strict adherence to company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding account status and outstanding balances.
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online is required; Xero experience is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) is essential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
