Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation filings.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Organize and file financial documents and invoices efficiently.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas).
