We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join the Crescent City Financial Partners team. Based in the vibrant heart of New Orleans, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our diverse portfolio of clients. As a key member of our finance department, you will ensure accuracy in financial reporting and contribute to the growth of our local business community.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees using QuickBooks Online.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures and tax preparation support.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital financial records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
