Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow) with detailed variance analysis
- Maintain and update QuickBooks databases ensuring data integrity and compliance with GAAP
- Assist with month-end closing processes and support external audits as needed
- Generate custom financial reports for management decision-making and tax preparation
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with CPAs and tax professionals during quarterly reviews
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor's preferred
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Proficiency in MS Excel with advanced formula knowledge (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and IRS tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail with proven accuracy in financial data handling
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor, CB) highly desirable
- Valid driver's license for occasional client site visits
