Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are recorded accurately and paid on time.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure balances match and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, profit and loss reports, and balance sheets.
- Payroll Support: Prepare and process payroll entries for small business clients, including tax filings as required.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their account inquiries and document requests.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain an organized digital and physical filing system for all financial documents and tax records.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably with small businesses.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; high school diploma required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors, reconcile complex accounts, and maintain data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial clients.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial data.
