Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting, including the preparation of profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Process payroll for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare adjusting entries as needed.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation by gathering necessary documentation and schedules.
- Communicate financial status, budgets, and expectations to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero is required; familiarity with Sage Intacct is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros).
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
