Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for a small team, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Organize and file tax documents and financial records for audit purposes.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) are highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
