Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Accurately record daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are up-to-date and accurate.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist with Payroll: Support the payroll process by gathering necessary data for hourly and salaried employees.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Microsoft Office: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup) and Word.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
