Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees using ADP or similar software.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and provide documentation for audits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital and physical financial records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
