Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly with 100% accuracy.
- Assist with monthly financial reporting, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Process payroll and ensure all tax filings are up to date.
- Prepare and review invoices, expense reports, and vendor contracts.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries and account status.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role (2+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and high-level organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
