Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Process daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for internal review.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for a small team, ensuring all timesheets and deductions are handled correctly.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, categorizing transactions, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Compliance: Assist with the preparation of year-end tax documents and general compliance filings.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to update and maintain financial records.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; high school diploma equivalent required.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is mandatory. Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and rectify them quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to management.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality of financial data.
