Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 5-10 clients
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets) and quarterly tax reports
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for data entry and financial analysis
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and audit preparations
- Implement bookkeeping best practices across client portfolios
- Collaborate with tax professionals during tax season
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Experience with multi-client bookkeeping systems
- Familiarity with California sales tax compliance
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
