Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for small to medium-sized business clients.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist with tax preparation filings and support the tax team during peak seasons.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial statements and inquiries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is mandatory.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) is required.
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess a high level of accuracy in data entry.
