Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and process payroll for small to medium-sized businesses.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure all financial records are up to date and compliant with local and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding account status and billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online and/or Xero strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work remotely or in-office with minimal supervision.
