Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate ledgers and reconcile bank accounts weekly
- Process payroll and ensure timely vendor payments
- Prepare VAT returns and monthly management accounts
- Implement and optimize bookkeeping systems (QuickBooks/Xero)
- Conduct financial audits and compliance checks
- Generate financial reports for stakeholder meetings
- Manage expense tracking and budget analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with SMEs
- Proficiency in QuickBooks/Xero and Excel
- AAT/Certified Bookkeeper qualification preferred
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
