Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly with high accuracy.
- Process payroll for a small team, ensuring tax filings and deductions are handled correctly.
- Maintain and update the general ledger using QuickBooks Online.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and balance sheets.
- Prepare and file monthly sales and use tax returns.
- Perform monthly financial close procedures to ensure all records are up to date.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is essential.
- Experience with payroll processing (ADP or similar) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
