In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of financial records, manage essential cash flow tasks, and provide insightful support to our accounting managers.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Process payroll for a small team of 10-15 employees on a bi-weekly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Maintain and update the general ledger using QuickBooks Online and Xero.
- Prepare and file necessary state and federal sales tax returns.
- Collaborate with clients to answer questions regarding their financial statements and tax documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks) is mandatory.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax compliance regulations.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with clients.
