Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure timely collections from clients.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll for small to mid-sized client businesses using third-party payroll platforms.
- Tax Preparation Assistance: Support the tax team by gathering necessary documentation and preparing schedules for tax filings.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting; familiarity with small business accounting is a plus.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero. Experience with Sage or NetSuite is highly desirable.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) is required.
- Communication: Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to clients and team members.
- Integrity: Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and ethical financial practices.
