Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Process accounts payable/receivable with monthly reconciliation cycles
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for client review
- Manage payroll processing and tax compliance for SMB clients
- Assist with year-end audits and tax documentation preparation
- Implement internal controls to ensure financial data integrity
- Provide bookkeeping consultations to optimize client workflows
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field required
- Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced functions)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail with error detection abilities
- Proven experience managing multi-client portfolios
- Relevant certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor) preferred
- Reliable transportation for occasional client meetings
