Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll cycles
- Prepare financial statements and quarterly tax documentation
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks, Xero)
- Conduct bank reconciliations and financial audits
- Support budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state-specific regulations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks proficiency
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation
- Strong knowledge of sales tax and payroll processing
- Experience with multi-state financial operations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
