Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions within Net-30 terms
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Manage payroll processing for 15-25 employees using ADP/Gusto systems
- Oversee sales tax filings and quarterly tax compliance
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online workflows
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Support annual audit preparation with organized documentation
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Proven track record with multi-state tax compliance
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail with zero-tolerance for errors
- Experience with construction or service industry accounting
