Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor communications
- Prepare monthly financial statements and profit/loss summaries
- Handle payroll processing and tax filings for 5-10 small businesses
- Implement QuickBooks solutions and optimize financial workflows
- Conduct quarterly budget variance analyses and provide insights
- Ensure compliance with Texas state tax regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Texas payroll certification (CPP) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting software
- Strong attention to detail with error-spotting abilities
- Experience with multi-state tax filings a plus
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a remote setting
