Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll functions
- Generate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets) for client reviews
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for transaction recording and reporting
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and tax document preparation
- Implement bookkeeping best practices across diverse industries
- Collaborate with CPAs during annual audits and tax seasons
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax compliance
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Relevant certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor) preferred
- Miami-based candidates with local business network preferred
