Responsibilities
- Manage Day-to-Day Transactions: Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are paid on time and customer payments are recorded accurately.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure all transactions match our internal records.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and balance sheets.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger, categorizing transactions, and ensuring proper coding for tax purposes.
- Software Management: Update and maintain our financial records in QuickBooks Online and Excel spreadsheets.
- Compliance: Assist with year-end tax preparation and ensure all financial documentation is organized and compliant.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Communication: Ability to communicate financial information clearly to clients and management.
- Reliability: Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
