Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in our accounting software.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements and credit card accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets.
- Software Management: Utilize QuickBooks Online and Xero to maintain client ledgers and update financial records.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing for select clients, ensuring tax withholdings and contributions are calculated correctly.
- Compliance: Ensure all bookkeeping practices adhere to GAAP and local Kentucky tax regulations.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for client financial questions and provide detailed reports upon request.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility: Ability to work 15-20 hours per week with a consistent schedule.
