Join our dynamic finance team as a Part-Time Bookkeeper in the heart of New York City. We're seeking a meticulous professional to manage financial records with precision and contribute to our growing portfolio of client accounts. This hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 remote) offers flexible hours while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor/client communications
- Prepare monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with quarterly tax preparation and year-end audits
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial processes
- Collaborate with CFO on budget forecasting and variance analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier certification
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formula knowledge
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and sales tax compliance
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude
