Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger and accounts payable/receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Process and track invoices, ensuring all bills are paid on time and vendor records are current.
- Assist with payroll processing for a small team of employees.
- Support the finance team with data entry and Excel-based financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional certification (CPA, CMA) preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy standards.
- Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week on-site in San Antonio.
