Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable with attention to payment deadlines
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) for client review
- Manage payroll processing and tax compliance for small businesses
- Implement internal controls for financial data integrity
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Utilize QuickBooks Online for transaction recording and reporting
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and tax regulations
- Detail-oriented with exceptional numerical accuracy
- Experience with multi-currency transactions a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional certification (e.g., QuickBooks ProAdvisor) desirable
