We're seeking a meticulous Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our growing client base in Long Beach. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payroll accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor communications
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and journal entries
- Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations (CA BOE)
- Support tax preparation documentation with CPAs
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent certification
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Experience with multi-state sales tax filing
- Detail-oriented with 99.9% accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
