Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile bank accounts
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll
- Prepare monthly financial statements and VAT returns
- Utilize Xero/QuickBooks for real-time financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Assist with audits and financial analysis projects
- Manage expense reports and vendor relationships
Qualifications
- Proven bookkeeping experience (3+ years)
- Xero/QuickBooks certification or equivalent proficiency
- Strong understanding of UK tax regulations (VAT, PAYE)
- Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables)
- AAT Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
