Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for small business clients using QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Prepare and send monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records for easy retrieval.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and general ledger maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial status and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
