Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and Xero
- Process accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and client reports
- Manage payroll processing for 10-20 employees
- Ensure compliance with IRS and Michigan state regulations
- Assist with tax preparation and quarterly filings
- Support clients with financial analysis and budgeting
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- 3+ years bookkeeping experience with small businesses
- Proficiency in QuickBooks/Xero and MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients
- Valid Michigan business license (preferred)
- Reliable transportation for client meetings (as needed)
