Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive leadership
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts monthly
- Oversee sales tax filings and compliance with CA state regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting processes using QuickBooks Online
- Coordinate annual audits and prepare supporting documentation
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA or EA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-entity companies
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (advanced functions)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and California tax compliance requirements
- Proven experience managing month-end closing processes
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error reconciliation history
- Strong analytical skills for financial reporting and variance analysis
- Excellent communication abilities for cross-departmental collaboration
